Android Studio, a brand new development environment that integrates all aspects of Android OS, was launched recently by Google. This environment was created to offer new tools and an alternative to Eclipse. Eclipse is the world's most popular IDE.
Android Studio will automatically create a project with all files in the SDK directory. This allows you to switch to Gradle-based management to give more flexibility during the building process.
Android Studio lets you see the visual effects you have made to your app. You can even see what it looks like on different Android devices with different configurations.
Android Studio also offers new tools to pack and label code. This allows you to keep track of large quantities of code and helps you stay organized. Drag & Drop is used to drag and drop components around the interface.
This new environment also includes Google Cloud Messaging. It allows you to send data to Android phones through the cloud.
You can also use the program to help localize apps. This will give you an easy way to continue programming and control the flow of your application.
